A very pretty antique scrimshaw baleen ditty box, oval, wrapping around itself and pinned with a painted paper insert behind cut out hearts, pinwheels and points. The back of the box is engraved with a landscape of trees. Wood top and bottom. 5 1/4 in. x 3 7/8 in. x 2 1/2 in. high. Minor worm damage.
