Clipper ship sailing card for the medium clipper DERBY, Manson, Master, loading in New York for Sutton & Co's Dispatch Line. The card notes a passage of 118 days. Printed on coated cardstock. Good condition with minor losses on the back where the card had been mounted. Card printed by Nesbitt & Co., N.Y.

DERBY was built in 1855 by John Taylor at Chelsea, Mass. for Salem owners Pickman, Stone & Silsbee. She engaged in the California trade and in 1866 San Francisco became her home port under the ownership of George Howe & Co.
